PURPOSE:To realize an efficient painting method by applying paint to a part which is to come in close contact with the three-dimensional painting surface of a flexible transfer body and by pressing this flexible transfer body against to a body to be painted for transfer. CONSTITUTION:A flexible transfer body 1, an intaglio printing plate 2 for applying paint 3 to the flexible transfer body 1, a mounting table 4 mounting a body 5 to be painted, a moving table 6 moving being fitted with the intaglio printing plate 2 and mounting table 4, a table 7, and an elevation lever 8 for moving up and down the flexible transfer body 1 are provided. while the moving table 6 moves to right and the intaglio printing plate 2 is separated from the lower part of the flexible transfer body 1, paint is supplemented to the recess picture line surface 2a of the plate 2 by a paint supplementing roll and paint sticking to the no-picture-line surface 2b is scraped off by a doctor, thereby supplementing the paint 3 to the plate 2. Then, the moving table 6 is moved to left to bring the plate 2, supplemented with the paint 3, to under the flexible transfer body 1, where the paint 3 is supplied to the transfer body 1 with the elevation lever 8, thus transferring the paint 3 to the body 5 to be painted. |
