<p>PURPOSE:To relize a sufficient magnetic film reinforcing effect, and to reduce the extent of abrasion of a magnetic head, by applying to the base body a mixture consisting of nonmagnetic powder having specific particle diameter, and a resin binder containing magnetic powder and metallic sulfonate base. CONSTITUTION:1-20wt% nonmagnetic powder (for example: Al2O3) whose Mohs hardness is >=5 and whose mean particle diameter is <=2mum is added to magnetic powder (for example: gamma-iron oxide, CrO2), and after that, is mixed with a binder containing a resin containing metallic sulfonate base (for example: polyester resin containing SO3Na and vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer), which is dispersed into a solvent, and is applied on the base body. In this way, a surface smoothing property of a magnetic tape, and a dispersing property of various materials in a magnetic film are improved, and the extent of a brasion of a magnetic head is reduced remarkably.</p> |
