PURPOSE:To prevent a magnetic recording medium from charging and to make the medium high lubricant, by containing a resin bonding agent, hexagonal ferrite powder and an interfacial active agent of a specific phosphoric acid ester compound. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic painting material is obtained by adding and mixing hexagonal system ferrite powder (example: barium ferrite and an interfacial active agent of a phosphoric acid ester compound by the expressionIor the expression II (R denotes hydrocarbon of C2-12; (n) denotes 3-9), to a solution obtained by dissolving a resin bonding agent (example: vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer) into an organic solvent. Subsequently, this painting material is applied on the surface of a nonmagnetic field so as to be aligned with the direction of the magnetic field, and after that, it is dried and a magnetic recording medium is obtained. In this way, in the painting material, each ferrite particle exists independently, its orientation property in the magnetic field is raised enough, and it is contributed to a flowing effect, a leveling effect and a high filling effect of ferrite powder. |
