PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction due to humidity and the deterioration of the capacity of a filter, by providing a humidity sensor to detect the humidity in a room and updating the control level of a gas sensor on the basis of the detected humidity level at any time. CONSTITUTION:The output of a gas sensor 19 for detecting contamination of the air in a room is inputted to the first detection means 20 and the output from a humidity sensor 21 is inputted to the second detection means 22. The control means 23 connected to both detection means updates a control level corresponding to the output of the second detection means 22 and compares the same with the output from the first detection means 20. When the output from the first detection means 20 is equal to or more than the updated level, the contamination of the air in the room by gas is judged to operate an electromotive blower 24. Thereafter, automatic operation, such that the blower is automatically turned OFF when air is purified, is performed. |
