<p>PURPOSE:To achieve reduction of size and weight of a hydraulic clutch by constructing the hydraulic clutch such that a piston presses a friction board by means of a radially intermediate portion of a diaphragm spring upon application of hydraulic pressure, and the piston is returned to original position upon release of hydraulic pressure and presses a brake disc by means of a projecting portion thereof. CONSTITUTION:When hydraulic pressure is fed to a hydraulic chamber 17, a piston 25 pushes the inner circumferential edge portion of a diaphragm spring 27 to deform the diaphragm spring 27 and presses a driven plate 12 located at furthermost position from a back plate 13 by means of a radially intermediate portion thereof. Here, the piston load is amplified based on the principle of lever to engage a disc 5 and the driven plate 12 through frictional force so as to transmit rotary force of an input hab 1 to a clutch case 7. At the same time, facing 32 of a projecting portion 29 separates from a brake disc 21 to release braking. When hydraulic pressure is released, recovery force of the diaphragm spring 27 blocks transmission of rotary force and the projecting portion 29 blocks rotation of the clutch case 7. Consequently, the diameter of the piston 25 can be reduced, resulting in reduction of the size and the weight of the piston 25.</p> |
