PURPOSE:To store many communication lines for the access through a switching network, by providing an automatic speed detecting circuit which stores communication lines and detects incoming and discriminates the data transmission speed. CONSTITUTION:Signals, which are required for discriminating the data transmission speed of a terminating communication terminal, out of signals on commnication lines 104-1-104-n are sent to a data transmission speed disciminating device 203.The speed discriminating device 203 scans plural stores interfaces 202-1-202-n; and if incoming is indicated, a response signal is returned to the switching network, and the data transmission speed is discriminated on a basis of the speed variance of receiving data transmitted form the communication terminal, and the data transmission speed is reported together with line number information to a communication processing device 205. The communication processing device 205 communicates data with the line, which is reported from the speed discriminating device 203, in the reported data transmission speed. |
