PURPOSE:To obtain highly sensitive reagent having nonspecific agglutination by heating latex wherein styrene is polymerized without emulsifier with presulfate as a polymerization starting agent in alkaline treatment, sensitizing antibody or antigen on latex, and performing serum treatment. CONSTITUTION:Polystyrene having a sulfuric acid group at the end of a molecule chain is heated in alkaline treatment. Then the hydrolysis of all the sulfuric acid group is substantially and forcibly performed to obtain dissociative corboxyl group. Thus latex is stabilized. The antibody or (antigen) is sensitized on said latex particles, and treatment is performed by the serum containing said antibody (or antigen). The latex reagent manufactured in this method excellently eliminates the nonspecific agglutination reaction, and the measuring sensitivity is remarkably enhanced. |
