PURPOSE:To apply a vibration in a state similar to the conditions where a submersible structure is installed underwater without exposing a driving system on a vibrating table to water. CONSTITUTION:Reference numerals 1, 2 and 3 indicate respectively a structure installed in water, a vibrating table and a foundation. The foundation 3 has the vibrating table 2 and space 4 for a machine room. The vibrating table 2 is floated and supported such that it is movable in a horizontal plane by means of a static pressure bearing 5 prepared on the bottom surface 3a of the foundation 3. To the side surface of the vibtating table 2, a vibration applying machine 7 applying a vibration to the vibrating table 2 in the one direction in a horizontal plane via a static pressure joint 6 and a vibrartion applying machine 8 applying a vibrartion in other directions are interconnected. Between the periphery 2a of the vibtating table 2 and the foundation 3, a seal means 9 is provided that makes the space 4 airtight against water W on the side of the upper surface of the vibrating table 2, and is able to allow a movement of the vibrating table 2. The vibrating table 2 can be given a vibration in the X direction in a horizontal plane if the vibration applying machine 7 is driven, on in the Y direction in a horizontal plane if the applying machine 8 is driven. |
