PURPOSE:To improve the discharge resistant as well as uninflammability of a transformer by immersing radical polymerizable halogenated ester and radical polymerizable thermocurable varnish using halogenated styrene and baking them. CONSTITUTION:Radical polymerizable halogenated ester, e.g., acrylic chloride, methyl acrylic chloride, etc. is mixed with halogenated styrene, e.g., monochlorostyrene, monobromstyrene, etc., and monomer, e.g., styrene, acetoxystyrene, etc. is used in small amount to prepare thermocurable varnish. When this varnish is immersed in the gaps and the outer surface of the transformer and is baked, the discharge resistance and the uninflammability can be remarkably simultaneously improved. |
