New dicarboxylic ester chlorides (I) have the formula Cl-CO-R'2-CO-O-CH2-CH=CH2 (I) (in which R'2 is o-, m- or p-phenylene, 2,6-naphthylene, -C6H4-CO-C6H4-, H2C-Q-CH2-, 1,2-cyclobutylene, -Q-CO-O-Q-CMe2-Q-O-CO-Q-, -Q-O-(CO-(CH2)4-CO-O)n -Q, (Q-O-(CH2-CH2-O)n'-Q-,2 or 3), -Q-(CH2)3-SO2-(CH2)3-Q-, n= (n'= 0,1,2 or 3), -Q-CO-O-(CH2)n"-O-CO-Q- (n"=1-12), -Q-CO-O-CH2-Q-CH2-O-CO-Q- or -Q-CO-C-CH2-Cyc-CH2-O-CO-Q-; Q is p-phenylene; Cyc is 1,4-cyclohexylene. R is linear or branched 1-16 (2-6) C alk(en)yl, allyl, (5-7, esp. 6 C) cycloalkyl, an aromatic (phenyl) gp. or a heterocyclic (furfuryl) gp.). Cps. (I) and other hetero-bifunctional acylating agents (II) of the formula R3-CO-R2-CO-OR1 are specified for the modification of cellulose substrates (III) before dyeing or printing (III) or a mixt. with other synthetic textile materials with a sublimable disperse dyestuff. Modification improves the crease angle and dye affinity. |
