PURPOSE:To raise the refractive index by using 2,2-bis(4-acriloyloxypolyethylene- oxyphenyl)propane as a monomer. CONSTITUTION:In the presence of at least one of a heat curing type polymn. initiator and an ultraviolet curing type polymn. initiator, 2-2-bis(4-acriloyloxy- polyethyleneoxyphenyl)propane represented by the general formula (where each of m and n is an integer, and the total of m and n is 3-4) is polymerized, and the polymer is molded into a prescribed shape to obtain a plastic lens. The monomer is a heat curing type one, and the polymn. initiator includes a heat curing type org. peroxide such as t-butyl peroxybenzoate and ultraviolet curing type benzoin isopropyl ether. |
