PURPOSE:A hair cosmetic containing a quaternary ammonium salt containing a 16- 18C alkyl group, a quaternary ammonium salt containing a 20-22C alkyl group and a fatty acid as essential components, and capable of imparting improved luster and smoothness to the hair. CONSTITUTION:A hair cosmetic containing 0.1-3wt% compound of formulaI(R1 is 16-18C alkyl; R2, R3 and R4 are 1-3C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl; X is halogen or 1- 2C alkylsulfuric acid group), 0.1-3wt% compound of formula II (R5 is 20-22C alkyl; R6, R7 and R8 are same as R2, R3 and R4) at a weight ratio between the compounds of formulasIand II of 1/3-3/1 and 0.1-5.0wt% fatty acid of formula III (R is 15-21C fatty acid residue) as essential components. The resultant cosmetic exhibits improved effects on an application to either one of the rinsing or nonrinsing type. A particularly preferred fatty acid has R of 21 carbon atoms. |
