PURPOSE:To measure not being affected by the bulk density, by using a single wire source generating a neutron and gamma ray and irradiating the high speed neutron and gamma ray from a side wall of a receptacle stored the material to be measured and then, transmitting said material. CONSTITUTION:A radiation apparatus 13 having a wire source 12 which generates a high speed neutron and gamma ray, is provided on the side wall of a receptacle 11 such as a hopper stored a material to be measured 10. This apparatus 13 has a radiation opening in the direction of the receptacle 11 and a filter 14 heating the neutron transmitted through the material 19, is provided on the side wall at an opposite position to the apparatus 13 of the receptacle 11. By such a constitution, the high speed neutron and gamma ray can be transmitted through the material 10 at the same time and the same place by using a single wire source generating the neutron and gamma ray and accurate value of moisture can be obtained by detecting each neutron and gamma ray and correcting the bulk density. |
