PURPOSE:To obtain high quality record, in an apparatus wherein a magnetic fluid is flown toward a recording body, by separating a raising magnet from a recording electrode when recording is not required so that magnetic powder in the magnetic fluid is prevented from settling out on the recording electrode. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic fluid 3 supplied from a supply pipe 10 is supplied to the raising magnet 2' where a bulge 6 is formed in a recordable state, but when printing is not performed for a long period, the raising magnet 2' is separated from the recording electrode 1 so that the magnetic powder in the magnetic fluid 3 would not settle out. The magnetic fluid 3 adhered on the surface of the separated raising magnet 2' is wiped off by a cleaning belt 12 running over rollers 11, 11'. |
