<p>The headlamp support includes a reflector (11) with two supporting brackets (9). The incandescent lamp (12) fits into a socket (13) and is covered by a cap. The reflector is covered by a glass diffuser (14). The support frame is made of plastics material, and comprises a half-shell which is approximately parabolic with two eyelets (16) which are bolted to the brackets of the reflector. The surface of the support is folded with alternate outer (19) and inner (20) sections. These two sections are joined by parts (21,22) which lie almost parallel to the reflector and lamp axis. The frame in which the support is held is a truncated cone shape, and has a corresponding folded cross-section to match up with the support. The shape of the thermoplastic support is such that it is readily extracted after moulding.</p> |
