PURPOSE:To solve the problems of the size of data, the direction of data block, etc. for a magnetic bubble storage device using a contiguous disk device chip, by combining memory units of different scales. CONSTITUTION:The 1st memory unit of the major-minor constitution including a short minor loop 311 is combined with the 2nd memory unit of the major-minor constitution having a long minor loop 321 via data changeover switches 331 and 332. Then a new write data or the data block read out of the 2nd memory unit are shunted temporarily to the 1st memory unit until the timing with which the above- mentioned data and data block can be written into the 2nd memory unit. As a result, major lines 313, 323, 316 and 326 can be shortened regardless of the length of the loop 321. |
