A process for feeding absorbents in the wet lime process for exhaust gas desulphurisation, in which limestone and slaked (or burnt unslaked) lime are used as absorbents, in which an absorption liquor is made to flow from an SO2-absorbing section having a gas-liquid contacting mechanism to a first vessel, a second vessel and back to the absorbing section, while limestone is fed to the first vessel and slaked (or burnt unslaked) lime is fed to the second vessel.
