<p>The X-ray film cassette is held between two parallel sliders which are moved apart by separate belt drives at each end of the sliders. A single electric motor is linked to the two belt drives by a controlled clutch so that a simultaneous drive is obtained for the sliders to cater for different sizes of cassette. The sliders are held together by a single, central spring. Rollers on the bottom slider enable the cassette to move along from the ready position to the exposure position, driven by a separate belt drive and electric motor.</p> |
