The device is designed to reduce noise during the transport of cylindrical containers such as bottles or jars which bump into each other in a row on blocking tracks. The device includes a number of rings (3) with a dia. corresponding to that of the containers (1) being conveyed. The rings are attached to a band (5) at a given distance from each other in each case at one point of their circumference. The distances at which the rings are attached is greater than twice the dia. of the containers being conveyed (1).
