<p>The transport container is particularly for live poultry, and is bult up of a number of flat rectangular boxes (1) one above the other. Quick-release couplings secure the boxes together or to a cover, and lifting mechanisms raise and lower the uppermost and lowermost boxes or the cover of the uppermost box, the other box or cover end being held in the top of a frame (5). The boxes can be arranged to hinge (4) at one side of the frame, the lifting mechanisms (2,3) being coupled to them at the other. The boxes can have partitions at right angles to the hinge axes.</p> |
