PURPOSE:To allow no existence of a resistance layer at a series connection between a transparent electrode extension and a metal electrode extension even if under an a-Si mask being invaded, by giving a damage to an a-Si layer existing in the transparent electrode extension when conductive paste is screen- printed on a series connection by squeeze printing pressure. CONSTITUTION:A photovoltaic element laminated with a transparent electrode 2, a photovoltaic generation layer (a-Si layer) 3 made of a-Si and a metal electrode 4 is connected in series by connecting one element transparent electrode extension 21 and the adjacent element metal electrode 4 on a transparent insulating substrate 1. In such a case, after the a-Si layer 3 is selectively formed on the transparent insulating substrate 1 on which the transparent electrode 2 is formed, the metal electrode 4 is formed by exposing at least part of the transparent electrode extension 21. Then, conductive paste is screen-printed by covering the exposed transparent electrode extension 21 and the adjacent element metal electrode extension 41 and at the time of printing, an amorphous silicon layer 31 existing in the transparent electrode extension 21 is damaged by squeeze printing pressure. Then, the conductive paste is burnt and a conductive layer 5 for the series connection among each element is formed. |
