<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a liq. crystal display device with high aging resistance while maintaining high productivity by forming an orienting film of disiloxane on a plastic substrate with a thin film of a titanium chelate compound in-between. CONSTITUTION:A thin film 2 contg. a titanium chelate compound as a principal component is formed on a plastic substrate 1 having an electrically conductive transparent film, and on the thin film 2 an orienting film 3 contg. disiloxane as a principal component is formed. As the substrate 1 a polyethylene terephthalate film, a polyether sulfone film or the like is used. The titanium chelate compound includes di-i-propoxy-bis(acetylacetonate) titanium, and the disiloxane includes bis(3-aminopropyl)tetramethyldisiloxane and bis(trimethylsiloxy)dimethylsiloxane.</p> |
