PURPOSE:To manufacture a non-liquid leakage cell arranging a positive electrode holding gel electrolyte in a cell case together with a negative electrode, then supplying electrolyte containing polymer and gelling the electrolyte before or after sealing the cell. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode is impregnated with organic electrolyte, for example, gamma-butyrolactone dissolving 1mol/l of lithium borofluoride containing polymethacrylic alkyl ester, namely a sort of polymer gelling agent, which shall be then heated in order to gel the impregnated electrolyte for making the positive electrode 5. Then a cell is formed with the positive electrode 5 together with a separator 7 and a negative electrode 4, then the electrolyte containing said gelling agent is supplied into the cell and the cell is heated before or after sealing it in order to gel the supplied electrolyte. In this case it is suitable to have the positive electrode impregnated with the solvent of the electrolyte of low viscosity. Thereby, it is possible to manufacture the organic electrolyte cell which is handy, non-water absorptive and has superior discharge character and creep resistance since gelling is conducted by having positive electrode thoroughly permeated by the electrolyte. |
