<p>A differential fabric-feed mechanism for a sewing machine has a rear, fixed-stroke feed dog and a front, variable-stroke feed dog with a control lever whose position can be automatically shifted between two positions defined by adjustable stops. The stops are at one end of a pair of co-axial cranked levers whose other ends have a ratchet setting-device engaging an arcuate guide bar which enables a rapid, accurate adjustment of the stops to any desired setting. The device enables a precise pre-setting of the differential feed mechanism, making feasible its engagement and disengagement by automatic control devices.</p> |
