<p>The system is used on a piece of furniture, such as a writing desk or sales counter, for locking all drawers, doors, flaps or similar from a central point. A batten (7) is mounted on the base (3) or top edge (2), so as to swivel about a pivot (8). This runs parallel to the door or drawer top and bottom edges, when at rest. For closure the batten is swivelled through 90 deg. into a vertical setting. Its width is such that it then covers the vertical edges of adjacent drawers or doors located one above the other. Its end can be fitted with a device for securing it in this position.</p> |
