The aerosol spray compositions described contain 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane as spray base solution and carbon dioxide as propellant. The compositions of the invention do not cause any air pollution, are safe for application to (near) the human body, and have excellent atomising properties; moreover, the change in the internal pressure of the container is small. <IMAGE>
