Silo vehicle discharge ball valve - has plug of segmental shape avoiding flow resistance and formation of dead spaces

The ball valve controls the composition of a mixture of material and compressed air, emerging from a silo vehicle transporting material in bulk. The valve plug (4) is of segmental shape, allowing accurate metering of the material and avoiding flow resistance. Furthermore, no dead spaces are found in which material can accumulate, requiring dismantling for cleaning out. Thus cleaning is rapid and easy, and allows the vehicle to be used without difficulty to transport widely differing materials, as well as avoidance of dust.
