<p>The evaporator is for use in a water-to-water heat pump, in order to improve its efficiency. It incorporates an additional heat exchange surface guiding the warm and liquid cooling medium condensate, so as to cool the latter further and supplement the heat source. The undercooled coolant is only sprayed into the evaporator after passing through the incorporated heat-exchanger. The design allows better use to be made of the condensate enthalpy.</p> |
