In a water purification system for aquaria, pisciculture or aquaculture, a gas is injected in the water circuit which includes a filter where aerobic biological processes are fostered and anaerobic processes are suppressed. The gas is injected at a controlled rate and the mixture is passed through the filter under pressure. This system intensifies the biological digestive processes and requires no special pump in the return line.
