Appts. used comprises pumps for the continuous supply of both liqs. to a continuous mixer. A heater heats the mixture leaving the mixer and viscosimeter measures the viscosity of the heated liq. mixture. The heater is controlled so that a constant viscosity is obtd. The operation of the pumps is controlled so that a constant temp. is maintained. Appts. is used for e.g. mixing diesel oil with heavy fuel oil for feeding engines, i.e. auxiliary engines on vessels. The mixing step can be carried out in line without requiring the use of an expensive computer unit. A bypass is provided which makes it possible to supply the engine solely with diesel oil if needed, e.g. in cases of disturbance of the mixing system. |
