The invention relates to the protection against radioactivity from materials and contaminated waste, in particular the alkali and alkaline-earth elements of the Strontium 90 and Césium 137 types. Waste products generally introduced into containers made from concrete or other material, are immobilised by a metallurgical slag either in the form of a grout with setting accelerator, or in the form of fine silico-aluminous sand to which anhydrous setting catalyst has been added. The containers themselves are constructed from all slag concrete. |
