Apparatus for restraining relative movement between, for example, the handbrake lever (not shown) and the gear lever (not shown) of a motor vehicle, the apparatus comprising a first component 29 which can be received on for example the gear lever, said first component incorporating a key-operated barrel lock 43 in a housing, and a second component 17 which can be received on for example the handbrake lever and which co-operates with said first component to be movable relative thereto with the lock (as shown) in an inoperative position, rotation of the barrel of the lock in the housing through a plurality of revolutions resulting in locking of means, in the first component, normally engaged with the second component in such a manner as to prevent relative movement between said components and therefore between for example the gear lever and handbrake lever of the motor vehicle. <IMAGE> |
