An enclosed machine assembly is disclosed in which a prime mover e.g. a diesel engine (11) and a driven machine e.g. a three-phase generator (12) are arranged in a housing (1), the inner surface of the wall (2) of which is covered with a layer (3) of sound and/or heat insulating material e.g. foam plastics and is additionally provided with cooling surfaces (4) connectable at (5, 6) to a supply of coolant. The end wall (7) is releasably connected at (8) to the housing and can be moved horizontally so as to expose the machine assembly (11, 12) which is carried on a supporting member (9') attached to the end wall (7). <IMAGE> |
