<p>Long joins which are periodically interrupted or partial lengths of joints are welded by a semi-automatic device. The process takes place in two phases (a) the welding nozzle follows the apparatus which is guided, the nozzle being perp. to the joint and (b) the welding nozzle is moved in advance of the apparatus. Guide means are provided and the welding apparatus is automatically displaceable along the guide means and is combined to form an assembly with a partly automatic welding device, e.g. for CO2 protected welding.</p> |
