发明名称 STRUCTURE FOR PURIFYING EXHAUST GAS
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enhance collection efficiency of a fine particle based on carbon and purifying ratio of uncombusted hydrocarbon and CO in an exhaust gas by a method wherein, to a piercing bore of a ceramic structure, a ceramic porous body having internal comminucation spaces passing to the outside is provided and, to said porous body, a part with a crude mesh and a part with a fine mesh are provided. CONSTITUTION:In a powder based on cordierite, methyl cellulose and water are kneaded and the resultant kneaded mixture is molded into a honeycomb structure and, after drying, into a piercing bore 1a of the honeycomb structure 1, two kinds of ceramic poruos bodies having a preliminarily cur three dimensional net like cell structure are inserted at a position shown by marks 2, 3. One of said porous bodies has an average mesh of about 13 and the other thereof has an average mesh of about 20. Next, said structure 1 is immersed in a slurry prepared by kneading water and methyl cellulose in a powder based on cordierite and, after the excessive slurry is removed, the impregnated structure is baked to obtain ceramic porous bodies 2, 3.</p>
