PURPOSE:To provide ease of reading of the second and the fun of viewing by displaying the hour and the minute in figures and the second in graphics. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal display device is provided therein with the figure displaying picture elements displaying the hour and the minute, and the graphic displaying picture elements displaying the second legibly. The graphic displaying picture elements which display the second are separated to a picture element group dispalying 1sec units and a picture element group displaying 10sec units. For example, 4sec are displayed by a display 1 of 4 chicks and 30sec by a display 2 of 3 hens, and total 34sec are dispalyed. The number of chicks increases at every one second, and the chicks disappear successively from the left end ones on attaining of 10 chicks, and it increases again from the next one second. At the same instant, the hen of a 10sec unit increases by one. In this way, the ease of reading of the second and the fun of viewing the same are both provided. |
