<p>PURPOSE:To restrain the cylinder temperature rise due to the ambient temperature as well as to prevent the sucked-in refrigerant from vaporizing in a refrigerant pump for an air conditioner, by providing a ring-shaped space for insulation between a cylinder and a cylinder block. CONSTITUTION:A ring-shaped space 19 is provided between a cylinder block 4 and a cylinder 18. As the presence of an insulation space 19 restrains the temperature in the cylinder 18 from rising sharply despite the high ambient temperature around a pump, the vaporization of the sucked-in refrigerant such as Freon is prevented beforehand from occurring to obtain the pump's good working condition. Even if part of refrigerant is vaporized before it enters the cylinder 18, forming a gas-liquid mixture due to the high atmospheric temperature, the discharged refrigerant is all compressed-transfered in liquid state because it is easy to obtain the pressure required for the vaporized gas to be reliquefied owing to the narrowed 18.</p> |
