PURPOSE:To enable of the amount of water to be stored in a hot water storing tank in the hot water supply device wherein the hot water storing tank having a burner means at its upper part and a solar energy collector are connected by means of a circulation pipe by a method wherein the hot water in the upper part of the hot water storing tank is circulated toward the tank bottom part. CONSTITUTION:In the hot water supply device in which the burner means 4 is located at the upper part of the hot water storing tank 2 connected with the solar energy collector through the circulation pipe 3, a hot water supply pipe 6 and a water exhaust pipe 11 on and under the hot water storing tank 2 are interconnected by means of a branch pipe 10 which is interposed with an auxiliary pump 12 and valve means 13. The hot water storing tank 2 is connected at a height H with a connection pipe 15 at one end with the other end connected to the branch pipe 10. When a sufficient amount of solar energy cannot be obtained because it is rainy or cloudy, the burner means 4 and auxiliary pump 12 are operated so that the hot water at the upper part of the tank 2 is circulated via the pipes 6, 10 and 15 and the tank 2, which enables the draw-out of a large amount of hot water of a high temperature. When it is cold, a thermostat 14 opens the valve means 13 so as to introduce the hot water to the bottom part of the tank 2 by means of the pump 12 for preventing freezing. |
