PURPOSE:To estimate the rupture area and position in an early stage even on the occurrence of a small-sized rupture accident independently of the condition in a pressure vessel, by estimating the rupture size from the pressure and temperature in a container. CONSTITUTION:The pressure P and temperature T in a container housing a pressure vessel are smoothed by means of a low-pass filters 14 and differentiated by means of a differentiators 15 before being introduced to integrators 16. At the point of time the pressure P becomes larger than a set pressure Pset, the integrated values are introduced to dividers 18 to obtain a pressure increasing rate average value with respect to time and a temperature increasing rate average value with respect to time. The pressure increasing rate average value with respect to time is introduced to a function generator 19 to determine rupture areas A0, A1 on the assumption of a liquid phase rupture and a gas phase rupture. Then, in a functin generator 20, average values of the temperature increasing rate corresponding to a liquid phase rupture and a gas phase rupture are obtained respectively. Thereafter, in a comparator 21, the temperature increasing rate average value with respect to time and that corresponding to the gas phase release are compared with each other to judge whether it is a gas phase rupture or a liquid phase rupture. |
