<p>Forging manipulator for the forging of round disc shaped or rounded workpieces consists of a carriage mounted on rails. On this is fitted a hydraulically operated vertically displaceable box a support with two parallel horizontal carrier arms. These are actuated by a double armed lever and two contrary moving hydraulic cylinders. The hydraulic circuit is designed such that the lever arms are in the same control circuit as that for the vertical up- and downwards movement of the box support and the lever arms can only be operated when the support is in an extreme upper or lower position, when it engages a two-way valve which diverts the fluid stream from the lifting cylinders to the manipulating cylinders. This arrangement results in a simplified operating procedure which is also faster.</p> |
