<p>Horizontal multistation press consists of a main cylindrical rotating mounting element. It has a constricted diameter portion in the centre and is rotated via a direct spur gear drive engaging a tooth profile on its O. near its two ends. Into this element are drilled wto diametrically opposite axially parallel holes on a fixed radius from the centre of the element. In these are mounted in one half reciprocable cylinders extending from beyond the outer end into the centre portion, where dies are mounted in them each die having two bores. At their other end they have a round knob shaped end which is running in a ring with a corresponding groove mounted at an oblique angle to the axis of rotation of the mounting element thus, that the die holding cylinders reciprocate when this rotates. In the other half of the mounting element are mounted the punch guides facing the dies. In these are reciprocating the punches which are mounted similarly to the dies in punch holders which are reciprocated. THe workpieces are introduced from the side into the punch holder and are pushed forward by the punches into the working position.</p> |
