PURPOSE:To obtain the solar energy collector using heat pipes which is thin in thickness, light in weight and prominent in the heat collecting characteristic by structure wherein a number of flat heat pipes are arranged in parallel with intervals between the ceiling wall and the bottom wall of a vacuum heat collecting box body. CONSTITUTION:Within the heat collecting box body 1 constituted by four side walls 11, bottom wall 13 and light transmitting ceiling wall 13, a support member 2 is provided having a reinforcing honeycomb structure between the bottom wall 12 and the ceiling wall 13. In the middle of the support member 2, a flat plate fin 3 is provided. Thus the heat collecting box A is constituted. A water conduit B is arranged on the upper side of the heat collecting box A placed with some inclination. Within thus constructed heat collecting box A, a plurality of flat heat pipes 4 is provided in parallel with intervals therebetween along the sloping direction of the heat collecting box A. Thus the heat collector is constituted. In this instance, the cooling part of the respective heat pipe 4 is submerged into the water conduit B and the heating part thereof is exposed under the ceiling wall 13. The bottom wall 12 and ceiling wall 13 are mounted airtightly to the side wall 11 through a silicon packing 11c and the heat collecting box A is evacuated. |
