PURPOSE:To realize high precision while obtaining sufficient detection performance by forming either one of projected luminous flux from a projecting means and the photodetection surface of the photodetection element of a photodetecting means in a rectangular shape crossing a base line nearly at right angles. CONSTITUTION:The figure shows an example with a rectangular photodetector. Projected luminous flux from an object is received by a photodetection lens 6 and then detected by photodetection elements 71-7n of a photodetector through a lenticular parism 6' having lenticular lenslets 6'1, 6'2...6'n. Photodetecting elements 71-7n are formed, shaping rectangles, on the same substrate 7b, and consequently position adjustments of the photodetecting elements 71-7n are facilitated while the photodetection surface of the photodetector 7 is expanded nearly at right angles to a base line, thereby improving detection precision and reliability. |
