PURPOSE:To obtain a heat developing photosensitive composition with considerably increased sensitivity by reacting a reducible org. silver salt with a compound releasing a halogen atom in the presence of a very small amount of a mercury compound so as to increase the particle size of silver halide particles. CONSTITUTION:A heat developing photosensitive composition is prepared by mixing a binder resin such as polyvinyl butyral contg. a reducible org. silver salt such as silver behenate, an inorg. or org. compound releasing a halogen atom by heating such as LiBr or N-bromosuccinic acid imide by 0.1-30mol% per one mole silver salt and halide or org. acid salt of Hg for increasing the particle size of silver halide particles produced by the reaction of said compounds by 0.001-2mol% per one mole silver salt, a reducing agent such as hydroquinone and a photosensitive silver halide mixture. The composition is applied to base paper and dried. The resulting photosensitive material high sensitivity and gives superior image with less fog. |
