摘要 <p>Composite friction material contg. by wt. at least 5% Fe, (the total content of free or combined metals being at least 65%), 5-15% silicates, borosilicates or aluminosilicates of alkali(ne) earth metals, 5-15% graphite and at max. 5% of non-metallic addns. or impurities, is described in which the porosity is below 5%, and in which at least 5% of the iron contained is in the form of pieces of wire of dia. below 0.5mm., and length above 10 x the dia. of the wire. The material has a coefft. of friction of at least 0.3 over practically the whole range of usable temps., an exceptional resistance to wear fissuring and deaggregation under the action of mechanical and thermal stresses developed in the severest conditions of use.</p>
