Plastics containers moulded with integral internal transverse ribs - for dimensional stability when confining pressures of up to 25 atmospheres

A plastic container for holding pressurised fluids is moulded with internal ribs to provide transverse ties for the major face panels. Esp. suitable for alcohol-based perfumes etc. stored and dispensed in portions using internal pressures of e.g. 5-25 atm. generated by gaseous or mechanical means. Pref. the container body is made as a tubular profile with integral ribs by injection moulding or extrusion and then is fitted with a suitable prefabricated base and/or top by e.g. ultrasonic welding. Opt. the internal ribs incorporate an annular section coaxial with the container body and slightly shorter to allow the contents free access to a concentric container neck/mouth.
