<p>Cosmetic compsns. for local treatment of cellulitis comprise creams, lotions, ointments or gels contg. at least one xanthine base (I) and a seaweed extract (II) in a suitable excipient. (I) is pref. theophylline and (II) can be a dry extract or an aq., alcoholic or water-glycol extract. The (II):(I) wt. ratio is pref. 1:1-10 and the concn. of (I) is pref. 1-10%. The excipient can be an o/w emulsion or an aq. or aq.-alcoholic gel. Combinations of (I) and (II) have a synergistic effect in reducing swelling, pain, etc..</p> |
