<p>Method of firing ceramic products esp. plates at temps. where they pass through a thermoplastic stage, wherein the cycle is in three stages, preheating, firing, and cooling during the whole of which the products are retained on a former to avoid deformation during firing, wherein they are placed onto the supports at the end of the preheating stage and removed during passage into the cooling zone, both transfer temps. being below the solidus of the material. The supports do not undergo so drastic a thermal shock during cycling since they are not cooled below the temp. of the hot zone, except by contact with the slightly cooler new product.</p> |
