PURPOSE:The oxygen-permeating membrane for the membrane oxygen electrode is combined with a lactic dehydrogenase-jimmobilized membrane and a dialysis membrane to effect prompt determination of lactic acid and indirectly determine aminoacides rapidly. CONSTITUTION:Lactic dehydrogenase is immobilized on a porous membrane, e.g., a porous acetylcellulose membrane, and the immobilized membrane 3 is fitted to a known oxygen-permeating membrane 2 for the membrane oxygen electrode and further, the resultant membrane is fitted to a dialysis film 4, e.g., a cellulose dialysis film to prepare the lactic acid sensor. On rhe detemination of lactic acid, a solution containing lactic acid is charged in the system equipped with the lactic acid sensor and the electrodes 1 and 5 are conneted to an ammeter to measure the currency and the amount of the lactic acid is detemined from the reduction value of the currency. On the determination of aminoacides, a lactobacillus requiring the aminoacid is cultured in the aminoacid-containing solution and the culture mixture is charged in the sensor system to determine the lactic acid, then the aminoacid is determined from the amount of the lactic acid. |
