PURPOSE:To perform desalting efficiently by thoroughly fluidizing and mixing both ion exchange resins prior to treatment then dewatering the same in a mixed bed type ion exchange bed water purifying device. CONSTITUTION:Discretely regenerated cation and anion exchange resins are packed in a mixed bed type desalting device 1. Next, water is filled therein and air 4 is blown from th bottom part to fluidize both ion resins, thereby homogeneously mixing these. Here, the air 4 is stopped and immediately, the water is removed through a discharge valve 5 operating cooperatively with a liquid level gage 6 at the liquid level descending speed higher than the settling speed of the resins so that the water surface remains slightly on the stationary resin layer. Thereafter, water is passed, whereby both ion exchange resins are homogeneously mixed and the desalting is effectively accomplished. |
